Quarter 3 Classwork
Three Kids Restoration: Before and After
The first exercise was to repair the damaged photo on the left. Using Adobe Photoshop and tools such as the clone stamp and the magnetic lasso tool the photo on the right was created.
Couple Restoration: Before and After
Using Adobe Photoshop, the bottom photo was edited to look like the top photo. Before we edited the photo, the woman did not have a coat and there was significant damage to her face.
Soldiers: Before and After
The goal of this exercise was to restore a dull colorless photo. Before editting it in Photoshop, the image was lacking color and contrast. The top image is the final product. By adjusting color balance and using the colors of the bottom photo, the image was repaired.
Gallery: Before and After
The purpose of this exercise was to experiment with different tools on Photoshop. We were given the image of the woman and the assignment was to put that image on all the gallery spots. The skew tool was important to keep the image realistic.
Baseball Card Restoration: Before and After
The original image we were given had damage to the top left corner, writing, and several areas that were signifigantly faded. Using Adobe Photoshop, I used tools such as the clone stamp and the paint brush.
Black and White Restoration: Before and After
This exercise was to get the top image to look like the bottom one. Before it was editted, it was a dull sepia tone and lacked contrast. I changed it to black and white and also added contrast. I also used the burn tool to get some areas darker.
Mirror Illusion: Before and After
To achieve the photo on the right the first thing I did was use the polygon lasso tool to select the area that was going to be the "reflection". Next, I flipped it and skewed it to get it into the right postion. I added the thin black strokes to make it look like the road was tiled. The last thing I did was cut out one of the tiles and add a dropped shadow to make the piece more interesting.
Two Half Match: Before and After
The photo on the left is the image we started with and the right shows the image afterwards. The goal was to try and make the left side look like the right side. However, clone stamping and copy and paste were not an option for this exercise. Instead I used tools such as blur, levels, color balance, burning and dodging.
